milk tea, where have you been all my life?

Today, I had milk tea for the first time.

…and it was AMAZING! WOW! WHat have I been missing my whole life??? Thanks to Julius for a great DAARE and thanks for taking my milk tea virginity! Wow. I’ve tried Thai milk tea and almond milk tea before but never straight milk tea. And it was warm too. Wow, I’ve really been missing out. It was so sweet, and the boba was so soft. It was one of the closest things to liquid pleasure I’ve ever had in my mouth. (No dirty jokes intended.) It had just the right amount of caffeine to wake me up, but not so much that I was twitching. I think I’ve added a new simple pleasure to my life.

I wonder what it’s like cold?

When my mom was dying of cancer, my dad had to keep working to keep his health insurance. His midsize company has a program by which employees can transfer paid time off to one another. A person in HR sent out an email explaining his situation. Within 3 hours, my father had 12 weeks of paid vacation. Strangers’ sacrifices GMH.

The Iron Giant and Godzilla

I did my final project for Theater 119 on comparing these two films. The Iron Giant is my favorite movie EVERRRrrr! But did you know that Godzilla is really considered a tragic hero in Japan? Godzilla is actually a really sad movie about the Cold War and nuclear weapons. The Iron Giant is a tragic hero too, and the movie deals with those same themes.

I think I did pretty well on my final. I’m happy. =) Man I love college, and learning, and even projects and finals and midterms and papers. When they’re all done and you did well, you get this amazing feeling. I wish I could stay in college forever.
